Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to custom software development, web and mobile applications, cloud & DevOps, SEO & digital marketing, IT consulting, and related professional services provided by Yakx International.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing in a proposal or contract, project fees are billed as follows:

• 50% advance — payable to confirm the engagement and commence work.
• 50% before final handover — payable prior to delivery of final work product, source files, credentials, or go-live support as defined in the project scope.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to yakxinternational@gmail.com, from an authorised contact on the client account, and should include the project name and reason for cancellation.

Verbal requests alone are not sufficient. We will acknowledge receipt and confirm next steps in writing.

If you cancel after paying the advance but before substantive project work has started (for example, before discovery workshops, design, or development kickoff), we may, at our sole discretion and only in appropriate circumstances, consider a partial or full adjustment under our Refund Policy.

Once discovery, design, development, or other billed work has begun, the engagement is considered active. In such cases:

• The advance payment is generally retained to cover planning, resource allocation, and work already performed.
• You remain responsible for fees corresponding to work completed up to the cancellation date, including any approved change requests.
• Final handover deliverables (if any) will be limited to work completed and paid for as of the cancellation date.

We may pause or cancel an engagement if required information, approvals, or milestone payments are not provided within agreed timelines, or if continuing would violate applicable law or our professional standards. In such cases, fees for work already completed remain due.

Upon confirmed cancellation, unpaid invoices for completed work remain payable. Access to staging environments, repositories, or work-in-progress may be withdrawn until outstanding amounts are settled, except where otherwise required by law or written agreement.
